Better, But Still Has Problems

While the latest update has resolved the Location services bug (be sure to follow the reset instructions provided above _and_ force quit the app), it still doesnt fix the ºF/ºC toggle resetting every time you restart the app. Given that the majority of the world uses the Metric system, not fixing this bug means that using the app remains an annoyance for almost every customer outside the USA. Based on recent tweets by the developer (@WthrApp), it doesnt look like this will be fixed until next month at the earliest.

Sleek but needs improvements.

Updating the location services was critical, now that its been fixed... It still says sunny at 1am lol

Updated but not

Locations fixed (supposedly) yet I still have to set to Celsius every time? Who the hell uses F?

Garbage

Sorry, but despite the cute design, it had this localization bug and now with the update, they tell you to reset localization preferences to default, to finally solve the bug! Hey! I have more than 100 apps working with localization, do I want to set them back one by one after the reset ? Nooo! I have a faster way to solve this : uninstall this garbage app. Anyway, it even cant remember C° when chosen. Hey, theres only two button to deal with!! Pathetic. Next time guys, work on your apps before submitting a beta-buggy app. Im very insulted by the product and your bug solution.

Kinda useless

Jony Ive would never have designed something so useless. Seven day forecast and current weather? If my only incentive to use this as my whether app is that it looks nice, then sorry, Im out.

Simple, elegant and solves one problem no other weather app does

WTHR is an absolutely gorgeous app. It presents the essential weather details on one page. There is no flipping through for settings or details. WTHR simply displays the current temperature and conditions along with a forecast for the week. A quick glance is all you need. What WTHR wont do is provide detailed information such as humidity or UV index, percentage of precipitation an so forth. But thats not what its designed for and I hope that this is never jammed into the app. It would render it too cluttered. WTHRs strong suite is quick access to temperature and conditions coupled with a giant Celsius to Fahrenheit switch. This is a fantastic thing. I am in a position where I need to know both temperatures and, having grown up with Celsius, am terrible at figuring out the Fahrenheit equivalent. Too many apps bury the toggle for temperature scale deep in settings. Its a pain to switch between them. Not with WTHR. Its right there on the apps only screen. WTHR is my go to app because it gives me all the info I need quickly and solves my conversion problem elegantly. All that in a beautiful wrapper. WTHR has definitely earned a prominent place on my home screen. P.S. it would be lovely if WTHR would remember to display Celsius as my default temperature scale.

Now its Great!

Now that they have fixed all the original bugs and problems, its really good weather app with a nice clear & simple design.

Beautiful

This app is truly great. Simple, reliable, functional, and its form is beautiful. I wish the world was more like this app... Dieter would be proud.

Not for Canada

I am not sure where this app gets its data but yesterday it said today was going to be sunny. All my other weather apps said heavy rains. Today Wthrdial said it is currently cloudy—it is POURING rain! So, delete $.99 and delete WTHRDIAL. :-(

Pretty, just not on iPhone 5

App is pretty I have to admit but thats all. In Canada, forecast can be way way off like rain vs shine. But this still hasnt been updated for iPhone 5 display and the black bars on top and bottom ruin the aesthetic, which is basically the entire premise of this app. If you dont live in US and you have an iPhone 5, avoid until update, if it ever arrives.

Great app (finally works well)

Beautiful, simple app that does what it needs to. I had issues with it before related to Location. This from their website fixed it: **If you are upgrading from an older version (v1.0) Please make sure you reset your location service warning for update to take effect (Settings > General > Reset > Location Services Warnings) Thank you for your patience.

Clearly not designed for the iPhone5

The wheel at the top, with the weather icons, actually pops out the edge of the app when views on an iPhone 5. The app is cute but there are better, free weather apps out there.

Beautiful app, but inaccuracies persist.

Temperatures dont correlate with other reports, but theyre not way off. Beautiful. Please dont abandon this app. Thank you.

Nice looking simple app

Id give it more stars but it needs more accurate weather data.

Cute but...

A cute app, with a nice design, but definitively having major problems (!) related to weather data. Killer look but not reliable at all. Sorry my friend.

Beautiful but not accurate

It is a gorgeous app, but it tells me its Wednesday when its actually Thursday. Its been a day behind for several weeks now. I keep waiting for them to update so it shows the correct day of the week.

Beautiful but innaccurate

Gorgeous. But for some reason its local forecast is completely inconsistent with every other weather service.

Simply beautiful

This has to be one of the cleanest and simplest weather apps Ive used. The hourly forecasts and sunrise and sunset times are the icing on the cake. Dieter Rams through and though, skeuomorphism done tastefully and not over done.

Beautiful but incorrect.

A beautiful looking app, but the data is constantly incorrect. Defeats the purpose of a weather app when I have to cross-reference against other apps for the correct weather.

A 1 dressed up as a 5

Gorgeous but useless. Forecasts are wildly inaccurate (in Canada). Pulling weather info from a reliable source would make this a three star app in my opinion; making icons more recognizable would add another star (what are those three lines below the half cloud anyway? And why did someone take a bite out of the sun?); and adding display options could potentially add that fifth star (depending on the options and implementation). I like the beginnings, but improvements could take this app from functionally useless eye candy (its like having a Ferrari in the driveway that doesnt run) to my go-to app depending on the amount of TLC it gets in the future. Heres hoping.
